Abstract
243,613. Brewer, G., (Krupp Akt.-Ges., F.). May 16, 1925. Alloys.-Articles hardened in their marginal layers by nitrogenization, for example by the method described in Specification 174,580, are made from steel alloys containing 0.5-2 per cent of aluminium, up to 0.6 per cent of carbon, and a total of 0.5-4 per cent of one or more of the elements silicon, manganese, nickel, chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, vanadium, titanium, and zirconium. An example contains 0.5-2 per cent nf aluminium and 0.5-3 per cent of chromium. Specifications 4644/91, 27754/97, 27755/97, 8080/00, 8081/00, 2273/04, 11974/06, and 3445/13 are also referred to.
