Abstract
243,345. Sieverts Fabriks Aktiebolag, M. Nov. 20, 1924, [Convention date]. Cable couplings. -To prevent breakdown between the cable 3 and the lead sheathing 1 when the latter is stripped for the purpose of joining, the dismantled part 2 of the insulation is covered by a braiding 4 of a bad conductor in the form of wire or tape of less di-electric strength than the insulating material. The braiding 4 preferably consists of asbestos and the quantity wrapped around the cable decreases towards the free end.
