242,077. Bailey, A. H. Nov. 4, 1924. Hearses; omnibuses.-An omnibus is convertible into a hearse having a passenger compartment. To provide the coffin compartment, the front side windows of the omnibus are lowered, a coffin board 5, Fig. 3, is removed from a recess behind the driver's seat and laid on the waist rails, front and rear partitions 17, Fig. 5, which are normally stowed in the roof, are positioned and secured to the pillars 6, and bay windows comprising window frames hinged to metal rods are slid into position by the ends of the rods 2 being guided in channels 7.
