Pulverulent-fuel furnaces; fuel, feeding.-In a pulverulent-fuel furnace in which a blower supplies the air for combustion and for feeding the fuel, the blower desivers air into a blast box from which the supplies of air for feeding the fuel and for combustion are withdrawn. As applied to a locomotive, a blast-box C, Fig. 1, is arranged on the tender between the water tank A and fuel tank B. Air is supplied to the box C by a blower D and is delivered through valve-controlled pipes F to fuel pipes H and valve-controlled pipes G to the furnace.
