Blast apparatus.-In order to increase the draught in the stack of a locomotive or other boiler, a cylindrical or frusto conical nozzle 2, Figs. 7 and 8, free inside, is located immediately beneath the stack 4 and above the blast pipe 3 and one or more intermediate nozzles 1<1>, Fig. 7, or 1<11>, 1<111>, Fig. 8, provided with internal partitions or the like adapted to flare out or to divide the exhaust steam.
