Blast apparatus.-In blast apparatus for locomotive and like boilers having an axially - displaceable areaadjusting device d within a steam nozzle a, and a convergent sleeve b surrounding the nozzle, a portion v of this sleeve is made removable., in order to allow the adjusting-device d to be removed for cleaning the nozzle. In the construction shown, the removable portion v is secured bv U- straps w pivoted on lugs x and engaging lugs y on the main portion of the sleeve.
