Class 99 (ii) [Also in Group XIII] The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes a heat-exchanger (see Group XIII), in which steam jets from nozzles 56 are used to clean soot, &c. off the surfaces of an annular bank of Perkins tubes 36. The jets are provided on two vertical tubes 55 which are supplied from steam conduits 58, 37 by way of pipes 57. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
