Abstract

472,875. Pipe bends. DEHN, F. B. (Iron Fireman Manufacturing Co.) Jan. 18, 1937, No. 1487. [Class 99 (i)] [Also in Group XXX] In pipe systems through which fuel is conveyed to a furnace by compressed air, the packing of moist fuel at a bend is prevented by heating that part of the system. The bend 25 is heated by a steam jacket 33, and is provided with a removable cap 34, which also is steam-jacketted, and is held in position by hinged bolts 35 and nuts 36.
