Convention date, Feb. 7, 1938, [Class 110 (iii)] [Also in Group XIII] The high temperature combustion products from a furnace 1 to which air and gas are supplied under pressure are cooled before entering a metal air heater 12 by returning by means of a pump 9, part of the gases leaving the heater. The remainder of the gases may pass to a turbine 13 driving the pump and then to a second air heater 14.
