Generating combustion products under pressure.-A number of cylinders a of a combustionproduct engine receive the burnt products from a common combustion chamber b in which fuel is continuously burned by a current of air heated in a regenerator 2 by the exhaust gas from the cylinders. The air is admitted from a pipe n, compressed in the cylinders, and delivered by a pipe f to the regenerator which comprises a number of tubes 4 surrounded by the exhaust supplied from a common pipe h. Exhaust branches g and the pipe h may surround the corresponding air pipes e, f so as to pre-heat the air.
