Abstract

239,060. International Combustion, Ltd., (formerly Vickers & International Combustion Engineering, Ltd.)., and Rosencrants, F. H. Sept. 26, 1924. Continuous discharge apparatus, rotary; air, controlling circulation of:-Coal pulverizing plant of the kind comprising a pulverizing-mill, a cyclone separator, and a fan which exhausts the air from the mill and discharges it into the separator has combined therewith a coal-drier and means whereby a circulation of air is effected through the pulverizing-plant and the drier. The coal-drier may be of the kind described in Specification 234,327, and the air for use therein is drawn by a fan 12 through a conduit 11 connected to the pipe 8 leading from the separator 3 to the mill 1. The air-heater 4 consists of a casing containing a steam-coil 5 and is connected by a conduit 7 to the pipe 8. The exhauster fan 2, connected by pipes 9, 10 to the mill 1 and separator 3 respectively, draws air through the heater 4 and thence by the conduit 7 through the coal in the mill 1.
