Abstract

<PICT:0382129/III/1> In a spray device, the boundary surfaces of the drying chamber consist wholly or partly of porous bricks. As shown, part of the wall of the drying chamber is formed of porous bricks k, the liquid to be dried being introduced by a pipe b and dropping on to a rapidly rotating disc c. Hot air from a heater e enters through an annular opening f and passes through the bricks k into an annular space m between the bricks k and the outer wall l, being withdrawn therefrom by a pipe o and a fan n. A rotary scraper g delivers the dried material to a hopper h.
