Abstract
238,389. Martyne, H. H., and Suffling, A. Sept. 9, 1924. Cam gears; rotary conical valves.- Inlet and exhaust valves comprise hollow tapered members 15 oscillated by linkage connections 11, 13 to levers 6 actuated by cams 5, return springs 9 being connected to the rods 11. The valves are formed with a port 18 and are open to the cylinder at their larger ends. They are pressed on to their seatings by spring washers 16. A flange 19 on the valve bears against a shoulder 20 on the seating to prevent seizing.
