Valve gear.-In an engine comprising two c l o s e l yarranged rows of cylinders 2, 2<1> with the cam shaft 15 mounted on the cylinder block, the valves 12 are actuated by separate cams 20 engaging tappet rods 22 which are all arranged in the central vertical plane of the engine and engage rockers 13. The rods 22 slide in guides formed in a member 23, which also constitutes the caps of the cam-shaft bearings 16.
