Abstract

244,199. Griffiths, K. G. Sept. 26, 1924. Valve gear.-Overhead valves are actuated by push-rods j having ball-shaped ends engaging respectively pivoted cam followers l within the crank case or timing case, and overhead rockers g engaging the valves. The rods are enclosed by a tube k, and the rockers g by a casing h, and bores g<1> through the pivots of the rockers serve as breathers for the crank case, being covered at their outer ends by gauze.
