Abstract
In the production of carbon disulphide from sulphur and carbon at elevated temperature the sulphur is separately evaporated and superheated, and is led to the reaction chamber, in which the carbon is maintained at the temperature of reaction. To commence the reaction and at other times when necessary, the chamber may be heated externally, or internally, by means of a blast of hot air or electrically.
