Abstract

236,989. Roberts, F. W. Jan. 6, 1925. Double and multiple hinges.-For hinges of the kind with plates b<1>, b<3> for attachment to the frame and window respectively and means for detachably securing the middle flap b<2> to the window so that it can be swung about the pivot b<5> when required for cleaning purposes, the middle flap is formed with a boss C which is tapered, as shown, to project through a mortice plate D, and the boss is screwed internally for engagement with a locking bolt which projects through the sash. The bolt is formed with a collar e<1>, and a rose-plate e<2> prevents its removal.
