Abstract

236,812. Hanson, A. C. Dec. 6, 1924. Prizing - tools. - A device for facilitating removal of clutches from Chevrolet automobiles comprises a lever 7, pivoted at 8 between splayed arms 9 having adjustable extensions 11 to hook into slots in the clutch body 1, a clamp 14 sliding on the lever and carrying a bifurcated member 15 which engages and compresses the clutch spring 3, and a second lever 19 slidably pivoted on the first lever and provided with curved arms 22 for engaging the clutch collar clamp 23 to withdraw the clutch from the flywheel until the openings 6 therein are in alignment with the clutch spring retaining pin 5 which can then be knocked out.
