Abstract

End l e s s - band conveyers, fibrous material carried on; air, controlling circulation of.-Apparatus for drying wool sliver or yarn in hank form &c. comprises a chamber A having super-posed endless-bands a upon which the wool is conveyed through the apparatus while subjected to the action of hot air. The air is circulated by a fan C through a heater D, vertical duct d having dampercontrolled branches d<5> for distributing the air in the chamber, and a return duct to the fan. The vertical duct enters the chamber beneath the lowest conveyer band and is formed with dampercontrolled openings d<2>, d<4> for directing air beneath the lowest conveyer and vertically through the chamber respectively.
