235,402. Byrd, H. L., Drey, O., and Drey, Simpson, & Co., Ltd. Dec. 17, 1923. Drying materials in long lengths. - Apparatus for drying textile and fibrous materials either in the piece or as yarn, or in a loose state comprises a drying chamber 2, a heater 8, a blower 7 and damper-con. trolled pipes whereby air may be drawn direct from the atmosphere through a pipe 11 or through a preheater 12 into the blower and passed to the drying-chamber which is provided with controlled openings, such as doors for the admission of cold air. The air may be circulated continuously through the chamber.
