Abstract

233,662. Tecalemit, Ltd., (Assignees of Soc. Anon. des Etablissements Tecalemit). May 12, 1924, [Convention date]. Addition to 214,986. Lever-actuated pumps; mountings ; single - acting suction valveless piston pumps ; suction reservoirs.-A lubricant compressor comprises a low-pressure or reservoir cylinder 1 with a highpressure cylinder 3 and a valve chamber 18 inserted as a single unit in the end of the cylinder 1, the plunger 13 . being operated by levers carried by the cylinder 1. A spring 21 arranged between cupleathers 87, 88 normally presses the discharge valve 19 against its seat, the rod 4 of the plunger 13 passing through the) valve 19, the cup-leathers 87, 88 and an end cap to the outside. Inlet orifices 35 are provided in the cylinder 3. The cylinder 1 is secured by bands 38, 39 to a board 40 adapted to be secured to the back of the operator. The rod 4 is connected to a lever 84 connected to links 85, 86. The link 85 is connected to a lug on the band 38 while the link 86 is connected to the operating lever 15, which is connected to a lug on the band 39. The follower piston mounted in the cylinder 1 comprises a pair of discs 5, 5a with packing 7 clamped therebetween. It is provided with a valve 89 normally closed by a spring 90, but opened when a handle 91 is pulled for withdrawing the piston, allowing access of air beneath the piston.
