Abstract

232,754. Love, C. F., and Emmott, J. A. March 28, 1924. Holding open and closed.-A rib-carrying sleeve member 2, 3 is slidable on the stick 1, and is locked thereto by relative rotation of the parts 2, 3 constituting the sleeve. The bush 3 is eccentrically bored to accommodate the cylinder 1, and is housed in an eccentric bore in the end of the part 2, so that relative rotation of the part causes a locking action. A stud 6 &c. in the part 2 engages a slot 7 in the bush 3, the ends of which slot limits the rotary movement. The bush may have an extension which is notched to engage a stud projecting from the cylinder 1 so as to prevent the bush from rotating when the part 2 is turned. The bush 3 is provided with a flange 4 for the ends of the ribs.
