Abstract

329,937. Baker, J. W. Oct. 3, 1929. Knobs or handles are fitted to door-plates 3 by spring rings 7 engaging grooves 5 in the shanks of the knobs &c. in such a manner that the ring, tending to contract, exerts axial pressure holding the parts together. The groove is preferably formed with a stop portion 9 fitting in the gap of the ring which rotates with the knob.
