Abstract

Solutions of cellulose in a mixture of pure copper hydroxide and ammonia are rendered more suitable for the spinning of artificial silk by the stretch-spinning process, by the addition of an electrolyte, especially sodium sulphate; by such an addition the temperature of the precipitating-bath may be reduced to 30 DEG C. or even lower.
