Description
In Wälzlagern laufende Rolle.
Dias äussere Ende der Bohrung 7 wird dann durch eine Schraube oder durch einen Schmiernip pel 8 verschlossen. Falls in besonderen Fällen der Schmiernippel am Ende ;
Rolling role in roller bearings. The invention relates to a cantilevered roller store, in particular for guiding or tensioning belts or bands. In contrast to previously known rollers of this type, according to the invention, the roller is firmly connected to its axis, while the outer ring of the roller bearing sits in a non-rotating bearing housing, for the purpose of making the rod with a compact design .ge sufficient load-bearing capacity.
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown in the drawing in a section through the roller axis.
The hub of the roller 1 is firmly connected to the axis 2 of the roller bearings 3, 4. The outer ring of the bearing body contains the two ball bearings 4 and sits in a non-rotating bearing housing 5, over which the guide roller 1: bell-shaped, engages. The bearing housing 5 is fastened to a holder 6 and provided with a bore 7.
Through this hole 7 a: Support bolt can be guided for the assembly, against which the right end of the axle 2 is supported so that the roller can be pressed onto the axle 2 from the left without that, the ball bearings will be damaged.
The outer end of the bore 7 is then closed by a screw or a lubricating nipple 8. If in special cases the grease nipple at the end;
this bore 7 should be a hindrance, it can also be attached laterally. The bore 7 is used to store lubricant. Generally, grease is used as a lubricant.
A grease nipple 9 is arranged transversely to the bearing housing 5 on the holder 6, so that it feeds the lubricant through a radial bore in the housing into the bore 7.
The advantages of the new design are easy to see from this example. In spite of the compact design, since a larger part of the load is transferred to the axis 2 near its clamping point, a sufficiently load-bearing bearing is created which can be easily installed due to the floating arrangement of the roller. Because the outer ring of the bearing stands still, centrifuging of the grease, which is so disadvantageous for permanent lubrication, is avoided.
