Abstract

230,495. Siemens & Halske Akt.-Ges. March 10, 1924, [Convention date]. Repeating and amplifying systems.-In telegraph and telephone lines with amplifiers at intermediate points, the various line sections have their impedances for the frequency band concerned increased to that of the longest section. Alternatively, each short section is so treated that its impedance and that of one or more subsequent sections together equal that of a corresponding number of normal sections. These arrangements allow all the amplifiers to be of the same design as regards both amplification and counter-distortion.
