Abstract

292,461. Siemens & Halske Akt.- Ges. June 18, 1927, [Convention date]. Repeating and amplifying systems.-In a twoway amplifier with hybrid transformers A1, A2 and balancing net works N1, N2, lack of balance at different frequencies due to a short line is counteracted by the insertion preferably in the input of each amplifying valve V1, V2, of a suitable network, of which the effective impedance in the line is equal to the nominal characteristic impedance increased by twice the divergence of the actual impedance therefrom. Two forms of the network are shown in the two line branches, each consisting of two artificial line sections H, S and H1, H2. Compensating condensers C, K may be added at the transformer Nu. Distortion eliminators E1, E2, preferably earthed, are provided. Specifications 18018/13; 154,027; 234,463 and 244,400, [both in Class 40 (iii), Telegraphs, Electric], are referred to.
