229,859. Pollard & Co., Ltd., E., and Pollard, E. Feb. 36,1924. Sliding doors.-The door of a show case or the like, of the kind which moves into an opened position at right-angles to and behind the plane of the closed position, is carried by a radius rod B pivoted at B' and connected to the door by a depending arm C passing through an arcuate slot in the top of the case &c. The rod B is supported by a roller F and track F'. The edge of the door which is rearmost when opened is provided with upper and lower rollers G, H engaging straight guideways parallel to the side wall A<1>. The top roller G is preferably spring-pressed against its track. One or more additional rollers- I swivelling in brackets or rotating on vertical pivots attached to the door may be provided above and below and adapted to engage suitable tracks or guides. The rearmost edge of the door in the opened position is chamfered, and the opposite edge engages the doorpost with an external or internal bead to cover the joint.
