Abstract

229,547. Marks, E. C. R., (Wagenhorst, J. H.). June 13, 1924. Tyre attachments to rims.-The ends A, B of a split rim are connected by a plate D riveted to the end A of the rim and projecting beyond the split C, the free end of the plate being formed with a recess F to receive the tapered head of a ferrule H which is riveted to the end B of the rim and is internally threaded to receive a locking screw I. A driving connection between the rim and the felloe may be obtained by providing bosses on the inner side of the plate D, the recess thereby formed receiving one of thetransverse felloe bolts.
