Abstract
227,117. Gribojedoff, N. von. Dec. 31, 1923, [Convention date]. Magneto-electric machines. - In internalcombustion engines in which the cylinder rotates about its longitudinal axis, the field magnet 17, mounted in a ring 16 secured to the end of the rotating cylinder, consists of annular or cylindrical segments overlapping and abutting at their ends but spaced apart between them.' The primary winding of the armature 27 is broken by a tappet which engages a recess in the ring 16. The secondary winding is connected to a brusn in circuit with the pin 34 spring-pressed against the end of the conductor 35 of the sparking plug.
