Abstract

145,406. Gousset, G. B. June 20, 1919, [Convention date]. Magneto-electric machines.-In magnetos for four-cylinder internal-combustion engines, the ends of the secondary armature winding are connected to contact-pieces b, c, located 120 degrees apart on a collector ring a and in different planes. Brushes c, j, g, h, connected to sparking-plugs 1, 2, 3, 4, are arranged to cause sparking in two cylinders at once, the piston of one being at the end of the exhaust stroke, and the other at the end of the compression stroke. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) also describes a modification in which the contacts b, c are located at about 120 degrees apart and in the same plane. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
