Magneto - e l e c t r i c machines.-In a magneto of the type described in the parent Specification, more particularly for use with V-engines having their cylinders inclined at an angle up to 90‹, the rotating magnet N, S has the lateral boundary surfaces a, c of the polepieces on one side inclined at an acute angle with the central plane. The other flanks b, d are parallel to the central plane and one pole-piece e of the armature J has a longer arc than the other pole-piece f, so that in the two central postions of the magnet, the flux path is closed through the pole-piece e.
