Cylinders, mounting heads of.- In an engine having an overhead cam shaft the cylinder head is secured to the cylinder block by studs b passing through bosses in the head and the cylinder, and by bridge-members f bearing on bosses e. The bridge-pieces are retained by studs h passing to the crank-case through bosses in the head and block. Dowel pins i locate the bridge-members.
