Valves actuated automatically and intermittently. - A valve device periodically opened and closed by the pressure of the controlled fluid acting on a diaphragm has an adjustable stop for limiting the opening movement of the pivoted valve member and is fitted with means for adjusting the stroke of the diaphragm. The valve member 6 is held against a pair of pivot points 7 by a single point 8 mounted in a springy bridge. 9 and carries a pivoted lever 13 the shorter end of which engages a bail 16 secured to the actuating diaphragm while the longer arm intermittently engages an adjustable stop 17. The seat 5 is screwed to the casing and secures one end of a plate 12 the other end of which is fixed by the pivot pins 7 and also secures a U-shaped member 11 which carries the adjustable stop 10. Either the valve member or the plate may be magnetised so that the valve opens and closes with a snap action. The diaphragm is loaded by a spring 18 and the inlet passage is provided with a throttling screw 20.
