Abstract

222,964. Wise, N. July 12, 1923. Multiple-filament lamps; caps. - Multiplefilament lamps in which the ends of one filament .are brought out to the usual contact members 11, 12 on the cap 10 are provided with an additional covering-cap or caps 17 having two outer contacts 21, 22 similar to those on the ordinary cap, and inner contacts 23, 24 electrically connected with the outer contacts 11, 16 on the ordinary cap when the additional cap is applied. When more than two filaments are employed an additional covering-cap is provided for each extra filament, each additional cap having " bayonet " slots 26 for engagement with the usual lamp pins.
