121,432. British Thomson - Houston Co., (General Electric Co.). June 20, 1918. Caps; multiple-filament lamps.-A lamp with two filaments, adapted for use on motor-vehicles. has one filament 11 permanently connected to the two terminal contacts 20, 19 and the other filament 12 normally kept out of circuit by insulating-material such as paper 23 which can be removed at will from between a pair of stamped plates 22, 21 tending to spring into contact within a central recess of the cap. A bridge of solder 24 connects one spring plate 21 to the contact 20 to which is attached the wire from the outer end of the main filament; the other spring plate 22 is connected to the outer end of the spare filament 12.
