Abstract

222,394. Hardman, G. March 19, 1924. Couplings, disconnectible.-The piping n from a beer engine is connected to a screw threaded connection b on a cleansing device by means of a union comprising a screwthreaded base portion e, movably mounted on the connection b, and provided with a swivel catch g. The base e is provided with two pins f, f, the swivel catch being pivoted on one of said pins and having a jaw at the other end to engage the other pin when said catch is in its closed position, and bearing against a collar n<1> on the pipe n as shown. Rotation of the union causes the parts n, b to abut against an interposed washer r, positioned on a tubular extension c of the connection b. The tubular part c may be omitted, while the ordinary union o on the pipe n may be retained thereon.
