Abstract

222,343. Wilson, F. J. Nov. 9, 1923. Ventilating passages, arrangements of.-An air-current distributor for use in cold storage or other rooms has a short conduit consisting of two end plates a, b and two short side-pieces c; the open face d formed by these parts is placed against the discharge outlet of a fan. Primary deflecting vanes m, n are placed as shown to divide the discharge into three parts. The part which passes through the opening j between the vanes m, n is again deflected by vanes s, t, and the parts which pass outside, the vanes m, n are deflected rearwardly and laterally by the vanes o, p. Any or all of the vanes o, p, s, t may be adjustable in position and may be secured in position by pegs x in holes w in the end-plate b. Equal quantities of air may be ensured in the diffierent discharge paths by spacing the vanes suitably.
