Abstract

221,494. Holley, E., (Assignee of Anderson, A.). Sept. 7, 1923, [Convention date]. B u r n e r s, mounting, arrangements, and applications of; gas supply. - A burner for coating a mould with lampblack and which may be mounted as described in Specification 214,953, [Class 83 (i), Casting &c. metals], is provided with a separate set of passages serving for heating, cooling, and cleaning the moulds. The gas for blacking, preferably acetylene, is supplied at C<2> to a passage B leading to series of outlets G provided with nozzles. The cavity A<2> is supplied at D<2> from a pipe provided with a branch so that either town gas or compressed air may be supplied as desired. The cavity is provided with nozzled outlets E and with a drain plug J.
