Abstract

130,550. Walker, W. W. Jan. 30, 1919. Nozzles with cut-off devices.-In apparatus for extinguishing fire by foam produced by the mixture of two solutions, the solutions are delivered through separate pipes to a nozzle provided with separate passages 7 controlled by a valve 15 and leading to a mixing-chamber 12 of tapering form, to which a reducing-jet 13 is secured. The parts are so proportioned as to produce only a partial mixture of the solutions before they leave the nozzle.
