Abstract
368,171. Casting-machines. ELEKTRONMETALL GES., Canstatt, Stuttgart, Germany. June 23, 1931, No. 18153. Convention date, Oct. 11, 1930. Addition to 365,446. [Class 83 (i).] Metal-pouring.-In a die-casting machine, as described in the parent Specification, the valve controlling the admission of metal into the forcing chamber b is combined with the air inlet pipe d and is arranged to advance, after closing the metal inlet c, through a distance m to raise the metal to the level of the nozzle orifice h. During this movement the pipe d must be closed. Part of the chamber may extend beyond the pot a. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a modification in which the pipe d is not connected to the mould but is operated independently. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
