714,726. Centrifugal casting-machines. AKT.- GES. OEDERLIN & CIE. Feb. 12, 1952 [May 7, 1951], No. 3668/52. Class 83 (1). A centrifugal casting-machine comprises an annular two-part mould 7, 8 supported within a two-part casing 1, 2, the parts having spaced rims 14 providing between them a peripheral gap for the supply of cooling air to the exterior of the mould. The air enters the casing from an annular pipe 17 with nozzles 18 and after flowing over the greater part of the mould wall, as shown by the arrows 16, passes through outlets 13 in the sides of the casing. Cooling air may also be supplied to the pouring aperture of the mould by a pipe 20.
