Abstract
667,654. Sprayproducers & c. LINDE AIR PRODUCTS CO. April 20, 1950 [April 23, 1949], No. 9676/50. Class 69 (iii). A nozzle for injecting a gas into molten metal includes a gas supply pipe 10 surrounded by a shell 12, and an outer jacket 30 on to which and the pipe a cast metal head H, e.g. of copper, is secured. The walls 48, 50 of the head include one or more integral webs 52, each having one or more gas outlets 64. Cooling water is admitted at 28 and passes downwardly between the pipe and shell, and then upwardly between the shell and jacket to the outlet 38.
