Abstract

715,710. Flasks and core-boxes. KRAUSS, H. W. May 8, 1952 [May 25, 1951], No. 11628/52. Class 83 (1). A vent plug for a core or mould box, which is packed by sand blowing, has the outlet passages tapered, widening towards the outside. The plug may comprise a hollow cylinder a covered at one end by bars b, produced by incisions c, the passages between the bars being symmetrical in cross-section or not. The incisions c may extend some distance into the cylindrical wall a as shown.
