219,901. Mouwerik, P. van, and Naamlooze Vennootschap Plaatmetaalindustrie van Mouwerik & Bal. March 22, 1024. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Luggage-carriers; supports attached to cycles. - A combined carrier and stand comprises a platform 1 fixed at 2 to the rear fork &c. and pivoted at 3 to a pair of folding stays 4, 8, of which the upper member 4 is provided with knee-pieces 5 to which are pivoted at 7 the lower member 8, which in the unfolded position engages the ground and abuts against stops 13 on the lower end of the member 4. The lower ends of the parallel arms of the member 4 are flattened at 11 and provided with a hole 12 to engage the wheel spindle, the stop 13 being formed by an outwardly-bent flange, or by a plate riveted to an outwardly-bent flange. The member 8 is retained in the folded position by a spring clip 15.
