Abstract

547,544. Trailers. PICKARD, H. W., and WILD,V. June 23,1941, No. 7862. [Class 108 (ii)] In a single wheel trailer, the pivot C of a castor wheel is mounted in a bracket D connected to the converging side frame members E, which extend from end to end of the body. The front ends of the side frames E may be provided with adjustable brackets S to facilitate connection to motor vehicle frames of different heights. The wheel fork and mudguard may be made integral. The wheel axle may be mounted on arms pivoted to the fork and controlled by springs. The weight of the trailer may be transmitted to the fork through a frictional washer to check oscillation.
