Abstract

1,145,704. Railway cycles. T. KITCHIN. 4 July, 1966 [19 May, 1965], No. 21124/65. Heading B7E. A railway bicycle, pedal or powered, comprises fore and aft frames 7 and 4 respectively, supporting an outrigger wheel 1 or wheels and pivotally connected to lugs 10 on the cycle head and to a bracket 6 on the rear fork. Arms 13, 14 mounting lateral wheel keeping rollers 11, 12 are swingable in a fore and aft direction and limit stops (6A) and (15A) are provided, Fig. 4 (not shown). When the outrigger is not in use frame 7 is disconnected from the wheel frame 3 and the frames 4 and 7 pivoted forwardly and collapsed to the Fig. 4 position. A collar 17 mounts a swing bar which may be secured by a wing nut to lock the front wheel on the rail.
