Abstract

817,399. Luggage carriers. RICKETTS, D. R. April 12, 1957 [April 13, 1956], No. 11305/,56. Class 136(1) A carrier for a bicycle comprises a support 1 to which a basket 18 or other shopping container with a handle is releasably secured by connectors at its ends, and a rear bracket 5 and side stays 11 to fix the support above the front wheel. The support 1 is a rectangular tubular frame that carries a locating pin 16 at its rear end and a quick-release fastener 22 at its front which co-operate with corresponding connectors at the rear and front of the basket respectively. The attachment of the stays to the frame can be adjusted to meet the size of wheel.
