Gaseous-fuel furnaces; regenerators; slag, collecting.-Relates to the arrangement of the slag pockets and regenerators for regenerative furnaces, particularly Siemens- Martin furnace, with superposed head flues extending axially of the hearth, and consists in forming the slag pockets by depressions E, F at the ends of the head fiues A, B adjacent to removable cover plates or doors C, D, and arrangeing the regenerators G, L at the sides, so that they extend to the levels of the head flues with which they communicate by lateral ports N, M respectively.
