Abstract
217,271. Constantinesco, G. Feb. 13, 1923. Addition to 185,022. Ratchet gearing.-In gearing of the kind described in the parent Specification, the enginedriven crank d, Fig. 1, is connected to jointed levers 12, 13, which transmit to the cut-way ratchets 7 and to the oscillatory weight 18 two complete oscillations for each revolution of the shaft. In another arrangement the engine does not drive from the constantly rotating crank d, Fig. 2, but the piston is connected by a rod f and links h, k, to two cranks l, n on shafts m, o. The shaft o is connected through one-way ratchets to the shaft to be driven and the shaft m is connected to the oscillatory weights. Specification 206,204 also is referred to.
